Kings – The conquest

Kings — The Conquest portrays the events of David's life after the death of his greatest persecutor, Saul, as well as the inclination of the acclaimed king. And in this context, the viewer better understands why, later, Jesse's son makes the mistake that changes the course of his story. David faces opposition from Abner, commander of Israel, who appoints Saul's inexperienced and insecure son, Ishbosheth, as king in Jabesh-Gilead, generating a great division in the nation. But, contrary to what many expected, the “house of David” grows exceedingly strong, while the “house of Saul” weakens every day, making it even more evident how much the hand of the Lord of Hosts favored His chosen one. The sixth season of Kings shows the beginning of David's reign in Hebron until the tragic conclusion of the story of the “house of Saul”, passing through the conquest of the fortified Jerusalem. This season is not only full of surprising and mysterious new plots, but it also continues to highlight the courage, fear and justice of the esteemed king of Judah, both towards the people and towards God. But it is also in this new stage that we see the beginning of the consequences that David has to face when he succumbs to his inclination to exceed his right as king by having several wives. As a result of this, he has major problems not only in his personal life, but also within his family.
