APOCALYPSE
This telenovela weaves a tale of love, spirituality, and redemption while exploring one of the most controversial narratives from the Holy Bible: The End of Times. The story unfolds across three distinct phases: the first in the 1980s, the second in the 1990s, and the final act in the present day. Apocalyptic prophecies resonate throughout the plot, set against vibrant backdrops such as Rio de Janeiro, Rome, Jerusalem, and New York, with the tragic events of September 11th woven into the narrative. The initial phase kicks off in 1980s New York, focusing on the lives of four university students from diverse backgrounds: Alan, the American; Adriano, the Italian; Deborah, the Israeli; and Susana, the Brazilian. The delicate relationship between Susana and Alan blossoms into a beautiful romance, while Adriano and Deborah's intense and passionate connection leads to a troubled marriage marked by unhappiness, enveloped by a mysterious and dark force. The story continues in the 1990s, with Adriano, Deborah, and their son Ricardo returning to New York, where they reconnect with their old friends Alan, Susana, and their son, Benjamin. This reunion occurs despite Deborah's jealousy toward Susana. The third phase transports us to the present day. Benjamin, a man of strong character, enjoys a joyful marriage with Zoe, the love of his life, and has risen to prominence as a scientist. However, driven by unrestrained ambition and fueled by his mother Deborah’s envy, Ricardo enters the scene, aiming to seize credit for Benjamin's groundbreaking scientific achievements. With a long-standing affection for Zoe, he devises a sinister plan to dominate the world, revealing his true identity as the antichrist, the devil's envoy foretold in the Bible, destined to spiritually annihilate humanity. As the “end” approaches, the characters navigate moments filled with faith, sorrow, turmoil, pain, and hope. Apocalypse promises an emotional journey filled with drama leading up to the Last Judgment.
